Product recall: Aldi warns of pasta with “possible health risk” from stores in 11 parts of UK
Aldi has recalled a pasta bake over the presence of an undeclared allergen, making it a potential health risk.
The supermarket giant was obliged to pull its Meat Feast Pasta Bake from shelves after the packaging failed to mention it contains mustard. In a customer notice, the Food Standards Agency (FSA) declared that mustard could potentially present issues to allergic persons. The FSA said: “Aldi is recalling the above product from customers and has contacted the relevant allergy support organisations, who will tell their members about the recall. The company has also issued a point-of-sale notice to its customers. These notices explain to customers how the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product.” Aldi also issued a statement about the recall on its website, stating: “Anyone who bought this product should return it to their store for a full refund.”
