Durum wheat, agreement between Barilla and Agroservice for a new pasta variety
Barilla announces its collaboration with Agroservice, an Italian company specialising in the research, production and marketing of seeds for agriculture. Their multi-year agreement requires a contribution of several hundred thousand euros for the development of new wheat varieties for pasta and innovative long-term research activities. The collaboration with Produttore Sementi Bologna (PSB) dates back to 1989; it was acquired in 2014 by Syngenta, then in 2022 by Agroservice itself.
