A gluten-free system for Penhandle Milling
The Hereford (Texas) production facility purchased last year by Panhandle Milling has been transformed into a factory dedicated to the production of gluten-free goods. In it will be cleaned, ground packed organic gluten-free cereals, including corn, quinoa, rice, amaranth, buckwheat, oats, millet and sorghum. Although organic and gluten-free products can be produced in the same facilities as conventional products containing gluten, Panhandle Milling believes that a fully dedicated facility minimizes the risk of cross-contamination from shared equipment. The Texan Company has estimated the gluten free market size to 4,35 billion dollars, with projections for other 3 billion of increase in the next five years.
