Fontaneto and Novamont launch the first compostable pack for fresh pasta
A tray that is fully recyclable through wet waste to reduce the impact of pasta packaging on the environment. This initiative comes from Pastificio Fontaneto, which specialises in the production of high-quality fresh homemade pasta, in cooperation with Novamont, Gualapack, ILIP and Gruppo Poligrafico Tiberino.
Pastificio Fontaneto’s new packaging for its Ravioli del plin and Agnolotti from Piedmont is made from raw materials of renewable origin and, once disposed of in a separate collection of kitchen waste, will contribute to the production of compost, a soil conditioner capable of restoring fertility to the soil, and reducing the emission of climate-changing gases into the atmosphere.
